Automatic Headlight Dimmers
Almost all drivers have experienced that uncomfortable feeling of having a car drive towards you with their high beams on. The reality is that some folks just don’t realize that they have accidently switched on their high beams. What if there was a way for high beam lights to be automatically switched off when another vehicle is approaching?
Actually, this method of automatically dimming high beams has been worked on by Engineers since the 1950’s. These early designs of control systems did not work very well but steadilly technology has been improving. Current technology utilizes a forward looking camera in the rear view mirror and a computer to analyze the lights of oncoming vehicles.
